GROCERY PRODUCT CRITERIA
New Product Approval Process- Grocery Items
1. Debbie Knapp is the corporate grocery buyer; all new products need to go through corporate approval process. Leigh & Keith are corporate grocery trainers/merchandisers; they are involved in product approval, but info & samples need to be sent Debbie at corporate, because Leigh & Keith are at different stores each day.

3. We need samples in order to evaluate items; one of each is fine. If you‘d like us to pass some on to grocery buyers at the stores, you can include more.
4. We need full ingredient listing for every product. We will evaluate each product on its own merits, & in comparison to what else is already on the market.
5. Some ingredients will automatically disqualify a product: artificial colors, artificial flavors, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils, acesulfame-K sweetener, artificial sweeteners, irradiated ingredients, bleached flours, aspartame/Nutrasweet, MSG, sucralose, or polydextrose.
6. We will also need full UPC number for every item, since we have a scanning system & we need to load in all data using that #. We need UPC# for the individual item, not the box, case, or master case #‘s.
7. We need to know how we can order your product, & pricing info. If it will be available at a distributor, let us know when & the wholesale catalog cost. If we can only order form you direct, we will need pricing info, minimum order quantity, whether shipping is included in price or not, & if there are quantities that allow for free shipping.
